About us 

Our Service

Our team provides service to the Whitsunday Region from our main office at 1 / 157 Shute Harbour Rd in Cannonvale and our satellite office in Bowen at the Bowen Neighbourhood Centre. In addition to these, we also offer fortnightly outreach services to both Hamilton Island and Collinsville and will be extending our outreach service into Proserpine early in 2021. 

Our service provides counselling and support to anyone who is, or has experienced domestic violence and or Sexual Assault. Additionally, we also provide counselling and support to families through our specialist family counselling service and intensive family support program. Whilst our Women's Health and Wellbeing program is designed specifically to empower women. 

In addition to these support programs, our team also run regular educational and empowering group programs such as SharkCage, Circle of Security and others.

Throughout the year, we run many community education and awareness programs as well as supporting such initiatives as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Violence Awareness Month, RUOK Day, and many others.

Our Vision
Whitsunday Counselling and Support works towards the prevention and reduction of violence in the community by providing professional support 
services to women, children, young people and families who have experienced family violence, sexual assault or are at risk of neglect or abuse.
